Dr. Charkrit Soucksakit, chief executive officer of Vejthani Public Company Limited, along with the executive members and a team of gastroenterologists and hepatologists led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pradermchai Kongkam, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Dr.Dr. Dadang Makmun, SpPD-KGEH, a gastroenterologist from Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, who visited Vejthani Hospital and had a discussion about treating obesity with a gastric balloon with Dr. Boonlert Imraporn, a gastroenterologist.
Prof. Dr. Dadang Makmun also had a chance to watch the demonstration of placing a gastric balloon in an actual patient.
Vejthani Hospital is the first hospital to treat obesity with gastric balloons. Now the hospital has experience in performing over 1,600 gastric balloon insertions.
