Hemorrhoid is an annoying disease that affects our daily lives and obstructs our happiness during excretion. Furthermore, if it is on the 3rd or 4th stage of the hemorrhoid, our life will be even more difficult and we need to get rid of it.
- The Traditional Surgical Hemorrhoid Treatment: The patient needs to receive anesthesia or spinal anesthesia before the surgery. After the surgery, the patient might experience pain, however it could be reduced by pain killer pills, and the patient needs to stay in the hospital for 3 – 4 days.
- Haemorrhoidal Artery Ligation and Recto Anal Repair: It’s also called HAL-RAR. HAL-RAR is a new hemorrhoid treatment technique which uses a Doppler ultrasound to find the location of the blood vessel that leads to the hemorrhoid, and then tie the blood vessel in order to reduce the blood pressure to decrease the size of the hemorrhoid without doing any harm to the anal tissue. The size of the hemorrhoid will be smaller within 3 – 4 weeks. With HAL-RAR technique, the patient just needs only a day for recovery. Moreover, it could reduce the risk of complications so there is no need to worry about the side effects after the treatment.
