This method is done through the use of a specialized instrument with a camera, inserting it through the urethra into the prostate. Steam at a temperature of 106°C is then injected into the prostate 6–10 times, each lasting 9 seconds. This method is safe, takes only 10–15 minutes, requires no general anesthesia, no hospital stay, and does not cause post-treatment side effects like surgery.
