3) Neurodiagnostic offers diagnostic services to people of all ages with disorders of the nervous system Neurophysiologic Studies include
- Electroencephalography: EEG both routine and 24 hours VDO EEG Monitoring
- Polysomnography : PSG / Sleep Lab
- Nerve Conduction Studies / Electromyogram: NCS / EMG
- Neurosonology include:
– Carotid Doppler
– Transcranial Doppler: TCD - Neuroradiology, such as;
– CT scanning provides more detailed information on head injuries, stroke, brain tumors and other brain diseases
– Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of the brain and other cranial structures that are clearer and more detailed than other imaging methods
– Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) is a type of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to provide pictures of blood vessels inside the brain
– Cerebral angiography is a diagnostic test that uses x-rays and an iodine-containing contrast material to produce pictures of blood vessels in the brain
