Health Articles

Normal heart rate is at 50 -100 beats per minute. If heart beats slower or faster than this range, it falls into the condition of heart arrhythmia.

  • Heart rate slower than normal range (Bradycardia): Causes tiredness, heart palpitations, wooziness, lightheadedness, fainting, unconsciousness or even severe to the extent where it leads to sudden death.
  • Heart rate faster than normal range (Tachycardia): Causes heart pounding, chest tightness, lightheadedness, has a risk of heart attack and acute death as well.

If such symptoms arise suddenly or frequently, it is crucial to immediately consult a doctor for diagnosis and undergo proper treatment.
