Liver cancer is caused by chronic hepatitis which later on turns to liver cirrhosis. The risk factors usually found in Thailand include.
- Hepatitis B and C virus infection: If you are infected and unable to receive treatment or left untreated for a long time, it will eventually turn to liver cancer.
- Fatty liver: 10-20% of the patients who have fatty liver usually have hepatitis disease that increases the risk of cirrhosis and cancer.
- Alcoholic drinks addiction
- Obesity or overweight
- Medications harmful to liver
