Do you have hemorrhoids? How severe is your hemorrhoid?

Internal hemorrhoids are graded into 4 different categories according to the severity of the disease.

Grade 1: The hemorrhoids or the swollen veins bulge inside the anal canal and in the lower rectum. The main treatment options for this grade of hemorrhoids are medication or injection into the affected area of hemorrhoids.

Grade 2: The hemorrhoids come out through the anal canal during bowel movement, but it can get back in by itself after bowel movement. The main treatment for this grade of hemorrhoid is rubber band ligation.

Grade 3: The hemorrhoids come out through the anal canal during bowel movement, but it cannot get back in by itself. However, it can be pushed back in with a finger. The main treatment for this grade of hemorrhoid is Laser-hemorrhoidectomy. 

Grade 4: The hemorrhoids bulge outside the anal canal and it cannot be pushed back in with a finger. This grade of hemorrhoid is painful and dangerous, hence, it is important to go to see the doctor as soon as possible before it turns into a thrombosed hemorrhoids. The main treatment for this grade of hemorrhoid is Laser-hemorrhoidectomy. 

With Laser-hemorrhoidectomy, the patient will have a smaller incision, lesser pain, and faster recovery.
