“Heart Valve Repair” Lecture under the project “Train the Trainer”

Taweesak Chotivatanapong, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon of Vejthani Hospital has shared his knowledge about the tactic of heart valve repair surgery to the medical staff at Buddhachinnaraj Hospital which is a hospital in Phitsanulok province of Thailand on 22 – 24 July 2020 under the project “Train the Trainer”. There were doctors and medical staff from Buddhachinnaraj Hospital, King Naresuan Camp Hospital, and Sawanpracharak Hospital who joined this event.

The project “Train the Trainer” plays an important role in sharing knowledge and building expertise of the cardiothoracic surgeons in the suburbs continuously in order to increase their knowledge and skills in providing better surgical treatment for the patients who have heart diseases.

Taweesak Chotivatanapong, M.D. is a highly experienced cardiothoracic surgeon. For over 30 years of being a cardiothoracic surgeon, he has treated and performed heart valve surgeries on over 3,000 patients and that includes heart valve repair surgeries on over 2,000 patients.

Currently, Taweesak Chotivatanapong, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon is also a chairman of the International Academic Institute Program (IAIP) of Central Chest Institute of Thailand, Chairman of Center of Excellence (COE) of Central Chest Institute of Thailand, Senior Consultant of Central Chest Institute of Thailand, Chairman of Heart Care Foundation, Chairman of  Center of Excellence (COE) of National Cardiovascular and Thoracic Disease Ministry of Public Health, Committee of Heart Association of Thailand, Committee of Asian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery (ASCVTS), and a member of American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS).
