Improper Lifting can cause Disc Herniation!

Although exercising makes your body healthy, incorrect or improper ways of exercising have risks of affecting physical health.  

This is especially true for incorrect or heavy weightlifting. It can result in disc herniation as lifting weights puts pressure on intervertebral discs, which may break them or cause them to bulge out and compress the spinal nerves. Thus, if there are any abnormal symptoms such as sharp pain, numbness or weakness in the leg(s), early consultation with a specialist can help rule out the cause and plan proper treatment.
