Osteoporosis Screening Test

A special radiography called DEXA is a safe and painless procedure used to screen the bone density which will show the standard deviation numbers. However, it is usually used to screen the lower spine (Lumbar spine) and the hip bone.

Osteoporosis , a Silent Dangerous Bone Disease

For people who do not have any abnormal symptoms, they should undergo the bone density test at 60 years old.

For people who are at risk such as those who have family history of osteoporosis or people who frequently consume steroid medication, they should see the doctor to diagnose and check the bone density at the age of over 35 years old, and should receive more natural vitamin D by sun exposure in the morning.
