I was being treated in Yangon, Myanmar for breast cancer metastases but was not doing well and I decided to seek a second opinion abroad. I contacted medical service representatives in Yangon. On their advice and recommendation, I decided to go to Vejthan hospital, Bangkok, Thailand. Every details of my trip, medical and administrative were meticulously arranged by local staff and coordinator in Bangkok. I arrived Bangkok on 2 nd March, 2012 accompanied by my sister Dr. Colleen Lal.
I was met and warmly greeted by Daw Ni Ni Myint, Senior Medical Coordinator of Vejthani hospital. We arrived at the Vejthani hospital where again we received a very friendly welcome by the employees of the hospital.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank all the people that helped me (many of whom I do not know by name) and many who do not even know how and when they assisted me by their attentive and caring service. More importantly, I am happy to acknowledge by name Dr. Worawit Chaiwiriyawong MD, his medical team including the Lab and CT scan unit all very competent and professional in taking care of the patient.
I would also like to put on record that the treatment regimen given to me by Dr. Worawit has resulted in a remission of my breast cancer metastases, (If I may be allowed to say so) by the mere fact that my CA 153 markers have been normal for the past 3 months. I also feel well and am able to live a fairly normal life. My personal special tanks to Dr. Worawit.
Finally, my deep appreciation to Daw Ni Ni Myint, Daw Su Su Wai, Daw Nang Siwan, and Kyi Chit Ko whose encouragement and support contributed very much towards my well being and made my stay at the hospital apartments very comfortable due to the efficiency of the management.
