Special Equipment and Techniques for Wound Treatment

  1. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a treatment method which exposes patients to 100% pure oxygen in a high-pressure conditioned chamber. This can improve blood flow, repair tissue damage, and restore normal body function.
  2. Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) or vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) is a wound dressing system that applies subatmospheric pressure to the surface of an open wound, and speeds up the healing process. We currently have both non-portable and portable versions of this equipment.
  3. Wound debridement is a new treatment method that uses hydro surgery to remove all dead tissue from a wound area. This promotes wound healing and reduces tissue loss.
  4. Endovascular therapy is a treatment method that improves blood flow to a diabetic wound using minimally invasive surgery techniques.
  5. Specialty shoes are made for diabetic patients who receive treatment to reduce the risk of diabetic wound re-occurrence.

In order to ensure effective treatment and reduce the risk of organ loss, patients must receive an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment from a multidisciplinary medical team.
