WHO NEEDS HAIR REPLACEMENT

THE PROCEDURE RISK
A possibility of complications ,including infection, excessive bleeding and/or wide scars. Sometimes the skin plug dies and surgery must be repeated.
PREPARATION BEFORE SURGERY
The surgeon will evaluate your hair growth and loss, review your family history of hair loss, and find out if you've had any previous hair replacement surgery. You should inform your surgeon if you smoke or are taking any drugs or medications, especially aspirin or other drugs that affect clotting.
If you smoke, it can inhibits blood flow to the skin, and can interfere with the healing process.
THE SURGERY
Hair transplantation involves removing small pieces of hair-bearing scalp grafts from a donor site and relocating them to a bald or thinning area. Before surgery, the "donor area" will be trimmed short so that the grafts can be easily accessed and removed.The donor site holes may be closed with a single stitch for each punch site.
ANESTHESIA TECHNIQUE
Hair replacement surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia.
LENGTH OF SURGERY TIME
The surgery usually takes 6-7 hours to complete.
LENGTH OF STAY IN HOSPITAL AFTER SURGERY
Hair replacement surgery is usually done as an outpatient case. Complex procedures may require a short inpatient stay.
TAKING CARE AFTER SURGERY
You may gently wash your hair for 3 days following surgery. All stitches will be removed in 2 weeks. You should avoid vigorous exercise and contact sports for at least three weeks because strenuous activity increases blood flow to scalp, and may cause your transplant, or incisions to bleed.
RECOVERY
Some of you new hair(implants) might fall out within the first 2-3 weeks after surgery, but this condition is normal, and almost always temporary. It will take about 6 months before full hair growth resumes.
